Simon BERTHE
ChemoGenetics to Image and Control cells
Simon obtained a BSc in Chemistry at the Interface with Biology from Clermont Auvergne University in 2023. To deepen his knowledge, he joined the Chemistry and Life Sciences program from PSL and Sorbonne University, graduating in 2025. During his master’s degree, he successfully competed for a doctoral fellowship through Sorbonne University’s Interface for Life program, receiving funding for a PhD project focused on designing chemogenetic fluorescent sensors to study forces and tension in mammalian cells, under the supervision of Prof. Arnaud Gautier and Dr. Franck Perez.
His research interest relies at the interconnection of chemistry, biology and physics to be able to develop innovative tools to further characterize and understand living systems.
